From event planning to administrative tasks, we need volunteers to help us run our programs effectively. Join us and become a Equine Safe Haven hero today. We will be looking for new volunteers for the upcoming parades!
Help us raise awareness about our cause by sharing our mission with your friends and family. Follow us on social media and invite others to join our community.

We have moved operations to Whitesboro Texas (Summer 2025)
Last year, Deming New Mexico has been plagued with severe dust storms, (a total of 68 from February) and high heat (daily temps well over 100 degrees) and smoke from the surrounding fires (Fires in the Gila Forest).
It made for an incredible unhealthy situation for both Equine and human. "You simply cannot breathe, work outside, and feel sick", said Katrina, the Executive Director. "It's unhealthy, and I cannot offer programs or have volunteers work in these conditions!"
We are settled into our location in Whitesboro Texas with beautiful grassy pastures, arena, round pens, and a big barn. Although we are not currently open to the public, you can still contact us if you'd like schedule a tour or come to one of our events!

The decision was made to relocate the Equines away from it all! A beautiful grassy, horsey turnkey facility on 37 acres: a second location in Texas, which marks a new chapter filled with green pastures, shade, freedom to roam, and fresh opportunities.

We are looking for volunteers in the North Texas areas - specifically Whitesboro, Collinsville, and Gainesville.
We will be looking for folks that want to drive a horse and carriage, and those that want to learn with the wheelchair accessible carriage. We look forward to events and competitions that will showcase the worth of the horses and the human that partners with them.
The community can look forward to engaging with these magnificent animals and the life-changing experiences they offer this year and next.

April 21, 2023
We thank everyone that contributed to making the Southern New Mexico Giving Day successful for us. This was our first online event April 21st. We had 5 donors that gave us much needed funds towards our program, and especially for the medical care (gelding of 3 young donkeys, and a 10 month old colt) for those that were saved from going to slaughter. We were able to raise $300 towards our goal of $500 and then the funds were matched! We will be picking up the $300 (matched funds) check from Las Cruces Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico the week of May 15th.
This money will go towards buying vaccinations for the Spring, providing hoofcare (Farrier) and supplements for CA$H, Louie, and Ronin. We appreciate what you donate to Equine Safe Haven.
